Thursdays during Lent February 23 - March 29 7 p.m.
Apart from the popular interest in all things apocalyptic, every serious reader and student of the New Testament knows that guidelines for the “end times” are common themes throughout all of scripture.
During the six weeks of Lent, we will take a critical look at the Book of Revelation, the final text of the Bible. Revelation has been a closed book for many, even for those who acknowledge the importance of the final acts of human history.
Our evenings together will seek to re-open Revelation’s vision and our response to it. Along the journey of these weeks, laying aside all preconceived ideas, we will crack open the secret codes and secret language. Using those understandings, we will see what the text has to say to us as its meaning unfolds before our very eyes.
