Jeannie Ritter, First Lady of Colorado, is a champion for families who have someone who suffers from mental illness. Her family's experience fueled her vision to help others understand how they can help "erase the stigma of mental illness."
As an advocate for veterans, she has worked with local funders, the Veterans Administration and community providers in establishing the Civilians for Veterans Fund, whose mission is to provide confidential mental health and substance use services to veterans and their families at not cost.
Fr. Joe Nassal, CPPS, has been engaged in retreat, renewal and reconciliation ministry since 1988. Having dealt with his brother's suicide due to schizophrenia, Fr. Nassal talks about this experience from both a personal and spiritual point of view.
He currently lives in California where he serves on the Leadership Team of the Precious Blood congregation and is establishing Sonnino Mission House of Prayer.
