One on One: Face to Face A DAY OF RENEWAL for those who work with the poor Wed., Sept. 22
Morning Session: 10 a.m - 11:45 a.m. Presenter: Fr. J. C. Cain, O.M.I. an Oblate priest who recently returned to the United States from a 10-year assignment in Zambia, will be our morning presenter. His talk, "The Four Stages of Spiritual Growth when Working with the Poor", will address the rewards and challenges you may experience in your work.
Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Mike Conley, Director of the Behavioral Healthcare Services, St. Elizabeth's Hopsital in Belleville, will talk about how best to interact with people with possible mental health issues.
We invite paid staff and volunteers at food pantries, social service agencies, and churches, to join us for the morning or afternoon session, or the entire day. Don't miss this time of renewal and apportunity to talk to others who work with the poor. If you have business cards, we ask that you bring some to share with others.
